Product Description
Kollmorgen provides services in the development and maintenance of various industrial automation products around the globe. The company is extremely concerned about its customer’s satisfaction.
The digifas 7108-CAN model represents the state-of-the-art technology of Kollmorgen and is supplied along with a CAN-BUS connection for sharing data with other I/O modules. The model is engineered to operate at the rated power input of 3 × AC 80 – 400 V and the required current for this unit is 8 Arms. The servo amplifier has a rated connected load requirement of 4.5 kVA for S1 operation. The model can be shipped with an optional LCD for displaying the operating parameters of the unit and three switch keys for manual programming. The errors and operating conditions can be shown by two status LEDs (green and red). The main function of the servo amplifier is to drive a brushless synchronous servo motor under torque and speed control mode. The servo amplifier should be installed in the vertical direction and the minimum prescribed clearance should be left at the top and bottom of the module. The model takes motor feedback through its 14-bit incremental resolver and the amplifier housing is protected against major solid particles but it will not provide any resistance against water owing to its IP20 protection standard.
The model digifas 7108-CAN can operate at the peak current of 16 Arms and to provide resistance against overvoltage an internal ballast circuit and an external ballast resistor are installed in this unit. The ballast circuit switched on at the voltage of 720 V and switched off at 680 V. The maximum continuous power dissipated by the ballast circuit is 2 kW. A motor with a 5 mH winding inductance can be attached to this unit and the switching frequency of the motor should be 8.33 kHz. Wake Industrial provides worldwide shipment of this product within the quoted time.
