Product Description
Kollmorgen brings several step motors to the market, included in these is the CT series and more specifically the CTP12ELS13MAA00 step motor. This unit features two-phase windings that utilize DC currents to energize. One step movement rotates the motor shaft by 1.8°. A reversal in winding current and position allows for simple and precise control of the motor’s speed. This motor is ideal for a number of different motion control applications.
The CTP Series from Kollmorgen is a high-performance series with heavy-duty bearings that make them ideal for the use of leadscrews. This and other CTP series step motors feature a high voltage insulation system. The step motor is RoHS compliant and completes 200 steps per revolution with a step accuracy of +/- 3%. It has a class B insulation that allows overheating protection up to 130°C. The unit operates at temperatures between -20°C to +40°C.
The Kollmorgen CTP12ELS13MAA00 step motor is capable of a 20,000 hr. shaft load with 20 lbs. radial at shaft center and axial 50 lbs. from both directions. The motor is made with an aluminum housing along with aluminum end caps. These help to keep the motor cool as they allow for easy and quick heat dissipation. The design of the motor also does not feature joints which eliminate a number of moving parts. This enhances the reliability of the motor. Less moving parts mean less maintenance which means more uptime and less maintenance-related costs. With a longer life expectancy, the CTP12ELS08MAA00 step motor is ideal for leadscrew applications. It is a step motor with a small physical footprint but can be used with all drives making it a very versatile choice.
