Product Description
The Servostar CR20560 is an AC drive controller. It has a continuous output current rating of 20 Amps. The drive has been developed as a multifaceted drive amplifier that is capable of driving a vast range of motors manufactured by Danaher Motion. The CR20560 supports digital current loop, PWM sine wave commutation, current loop adaptive gain, system current-limiting capability and back EMF compensation. The drive also supports digital velocity loop control, velocity stepping and jogging, automatic control loop tuning, advanced control algorithms and standard pole placement. The CR20560 receives resolver feedback and uses either single or multi-speed resolver feedback to monitor the motor shaft position. The resolver specifications include 0.47 transformation ratio, 7 to 8 kilohertz modulation frequency, 4.25 Volts AC input, 120 Ohms maximum resistance, 55 milliamps maximum current and 2 Volts AC output voltage.
Properly shielded cables should be used for the feedback connection. The motor cable and feedback cable should not be run in the same conduit. Cables with length of up to 75 feet have been tested. Use of twisted-shielded pair cables is recommended for the feedback cables. The CR20560 uses 24 Volts external power for the logic circuits. The control interface on the drive is analog. The drive should be mounted in the vertical orientation. M4 screws are required for drive mounting. The recommended tightening torque is 2.26 Nm. The wire size for the control logic, motor line and main input line are 16 AWG, 14 AWG and 14 AWG respectively. The control and signal cables should be separated from the power and motor cables: a distance of 8 inches is sufficient. The CR20560 drive system should be grounded for safe operation.
