Product Description

The Kollmorgen CR10561 is a digital drive amplifier. It is part of the Servostar Series 5 product line and is designed for industrial motor control applications. In combination with a servo motor, the drive forms an important part of an effective closed loop control system. The resolver feedback on the CR10561 receives feedback from a servo motor with a resolver which provides information about motor position. The Series 5 amplifiers that support other feedback types such as sine wave encoder and normal encoder are also available. The CR10561 has input rating of 230 Volts AC (three-phase, 47 to 63 Hertz) and is rated for 10 Amps continuous output. The control interface on the CR10561 is SERCOS. The amplifier logic control requires an external power supply cable of 24 Volts DC output.

A serial port or SERCOS fiber-optic ring can be used to communicate with the CR10561 amplifier. The serial port on the drive supports 9600 to 19200 baud rates. The baud rate setting is determined by DIP switch number 6 for both RS-232 and RS-485 configurations. The Motionlink software is available for drive programming and configuration. This software installs on a computer with the Windows operating system. The software is easy to setup and comes with an extensive on-line help tool. A CD-ROM that is part of the drive shipment contains a guide with the entire variable and command set. This guide is a great resource when used with the Motionlink software. A seven-segment display on the CR10561 acts as a status display and indicates four different states which are power-up, steady state, flashing state and momentary state. Only trained personnel should install and operate the amplifier.
