Product Description
The Kollmorgen CR06703-R is a drive amplifier. It is part of the Servostar CD family of drive amplifiers. It is designed for industrial applications including machine tools, document handling, electronic assembly, and packaging. Programming of the amplifier can be done through analog, serial and SERCOS interfaces. The amplifier supports a resolver input. Either single or multi-speed resolver feedback is used for motor shaft position monitoring. Specifications for the resolver used on the amplifier include 0.47 transformation ratio, 7 to 8 kilohertz modulation frequency, 4.25 Volts input voltage, 120 Ohms maximum resistance, 55 milliamps current and 2 Volts AC output. The cables used for motor to amplifier feedback should be shielded and should be kept away from other noise-radiating cables and devices. Kollmorgen has tested cables measuring up to 75 feet without any performance degradation.
Kollmorgen should be consulted when longer cable runs need to be used. Environmental specifications for the CR06703-R include 41 to 113 degrees Fahrenheit ambient temperature, 32 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit storage temperature, 10 to 90% non-condensing relative humidity and maximum site elevation of 3300 feet above sea level. The environment where the CR06703-R is operated should be free of dust and corrosive gases. The vibration rating of the CR06703-R is 0.5 g. Several protection modes are supported by the CR06703-R including undervoltge protection, overvoltage protection and overtemperature protection. The amplifier is set to trip when the voltage falls to 90 Volts DC. The amplifier is also set to trip when the voltage increases to 430 Volts DC. The overtemperature threshold for the CR06703-R amplifier is 176 degrees Fahrenheit. Only qualified and trained technical personnel should be involved in amplifier installation and operation.
