Product Description

The Kollmorgen CR03250 is a Servostar series servo motor drive amplifier. It belongs to the CD Series 2 (as identified by model numbers having a 2 as the fifth digit). The drive supports resolver feedback. The rated continuous current at the drive output is 3 Amps. The logic power voltage is 230 Volts AC. Weight of the drive system is 1.61 kilograms. M4 size screws are required for drive mounting. The recommended tightening torque is 2.26 Nm. The wire size recommended for the AC input line is 14 AWG. The wire size recommended for the motor line is 14 AWG. The wire size recommended for the control logic is 16 AWG. For drive mounting Kollmorgen recommends a minimum side-to-side distance of 12.7 millimeters, and a minimum 63.5 millimeters distance at the top and bottom sides.

Dimensions of the CR03250 are 244 x 67.3 x 163 millimeters. The drive system is designed for panel mounting. The panel assembly should be mounted in a metallic enclosure. The enclosure should have continuous ground continuity maintained between all metal panels. System grounding is essential for proper drive performance. The ground bus bar can be used as a single point ground for the system. The CR03250 drive meets CE mark standards. Proper bonding and grounding techniques should be used when incorporating EMC noise filtering components. EMI filtering is required at the input to the CR03250 drive. This filtering blocks conducted-type emissions from exiting onto the power lines and provides a barrier for EMI on the power lines. Motor line filtering may not be necessary for CE compliance of the CR03250 drive system. Trained and qualified personnel should install and operate the CR03250 drive system.
