Product Description
Designed to work at a 480 Volts maximum the CH091A-11-2105S is a frameless motor from Kollmorgan. This model comes from the CARTRIDGE DDR MOTORS family and it is designed to be used as a direct drive. The CH091A-11-2105S has a maximum torque rating of 50.2 N-m as in continuous mode at a continuous line current of 12.8 amperes. This motor is built to rotate at a maximum speed of 1500 rpm while configured to work at 480 Volts and approximately 1200 RPM speed is possible at 400V. The best thing about this frameless, DDR motor is its compact design and ability to be coupled with the load directly without a gear and pulley assembly.
The rotor of the CH091A-11-2105S is the only moving part of this bearing-less motor and it comes housed in a 9.68” size frame. Being a short stack motor it can be considered in applications where space for a mild stack and long stack motors is not adequate. The CH091A-11-2105S features a built-in sine encoder. A dedicated encode is also provided for the transmission of motor speed and position information. The position feedback from the motor can be routed to the associated drive control through a cable.
This model comes with a standard flanged mounting face and can easily be mounted to the machine through 4 mounting bolts. The CH091A-11-2105S has a solid shaft and for interfacing with the host machine, it is offered with a keyed compression coupling. You can access the compression coupling during the installation process by removing the cap screw that is provided on the bottom side of the motor. Afterward, the compression coupling can be tightened through a right size torque wrench.
