The AKMH53H-CNKNCA3K synchronous servomotor supplied by Kollmorgen must be driven by an AKD servo drive under torque and/or speed control. This product is widely deployed in food and beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical machinery. The device can also be used in food splash zones with a tubing over the motor cable. This unit has no protection against short circuit or heavy overloading with its temperature sensor. Its thermal sensor encompasses a KTY83-110 and a PTC that are connected in series. The motor coupling fitted on the shaft must be chosen by the user according to the application. This product uses FDA-approved materials for all parts of its exterior except the cable. The device portrays vibration class A as per EN 60034-14 specifications. This unit encompasses a mineral-filled PTFE rotary shaft seal with a single lip. Its ball bearings comprise food-grade grease as per FDA 21 CFR 178.3570 standards. The servomotor mounting must not be done without the o-ring. This product should be assembled such that there is adequate heat transfer in the motor flange and the surroundings. The device is not intended to be coupled directly to metals like carbon steel or aluminum as the direct coupling can cause galvanic isolation. This motor must be pressed to the counter flange and the sealed screws have to be fixed after placing the o-ring on the groove of the flange. The unit must be associated with strain relief measures for its cable to prevent contaminants from entering the motor or the cable bushing from becoming loose. Its silicone tubing protects the motor cable as well as the motor from exposure to cleaning solutions.
