Product Description
Kollmorgen’s motion control products are used in many industries around the world. Industries that frequently use Kollmorgen’s equipment include the defense industry, the oil & gas sector, the aerospace industry, and the automotive industry.
The AKM74P-ANCNR-00 motor features neodymium permanent magnets that make the motor really suitable for servo applications. Since the motor continuously monitors critical control attributes, any error in movement can be instantly noticed and rectified. With an 18.7 A standstill current, the motor can generate a 78.5 Nm peak torque. During standstill mode, a 29.4 Nm torque can be applied to the motor’s shaft. The motor has a 65 kgcm2 moment of inertia. Low inertia motors are always preferred for servo applications because they can sustain high-intensity reciprocating motion. The motor’s most prominent feature is its torque advantage. The motor operates at three levels of speed i.e 1800 rpm, 3000 rpm, and 3500 rpm. Even as the speed increases, the motor’s torque remains steady and the drop in torque values is minimal.
The AKM74P-ANCNR-00 has an IP 65 degree protection and falls in the climatic category 3K3. This means that the motor can be operated in areas that don’t have any humidity regulation. The system is resistant to air movements due to draughts and can withstand radiations (thermal and solar). This model comes with servo amplifiers. Because of the sophisticated control algorithms, the motor can provide extraordinary control features. An inbuilt resolver is provided in the AKM74P-ANCNR-00 that acts as a sensor and constantly measures the system’s position and velocity. Even a slight error in these parameters is instantly detected and corrected with the help of the negative feedback system.
