The AKM72L-KKCNR-00 is a robust servomotor from the house of Kollmorgen. It is designed to be driven by a SERVOSTAR servo amplifier under torque and/or speed control. The motor features an open keyway shaft without a shaft seal. The shaft is balanced with a short (half) key. An add-on kit is available for this servomotor for forced ventilation. The bearings must be replaced after 20,000 hours of operation under rated conditions. The motor should be checked for bearing noise once every 2500 operating hours. In the case of any noises, the operation of the servomotor should be stopped, and the bearings need to be replaced. It should be noted that opening the device invalidates the warranty. The dirty housing can be cleaned using isopropanol or a similar chemical. Immersing or spraying should be avoided.
