The AKM65K-ACCNR-B0 synchronous servomotor from Kollmorgen has special customization. This product is enameled in a RAL 9005 matt black finish. The device has brushes as part of its design as the commutation is done electronically by the servo amplifier. This unit has a basic IM B5 mounting style although IM V1 and IM V3 mounting positions are also allowed. It is recommended to use double-coned collets for coupling on the motor shaft as they render zero backlash. The motor flange is designed according to IEC standards and has an accuracy as per DIN 42955 specifications. The product comes with a copy of its instructions manual and its mating connectors are not included in the package. This device is not integrated with any holding brake. The unit must be safeguarded against unacceptable stresses. Its shaft and flange have to be protected against brute force as this can make them vulnerable. This motor related coupling has to be tightened and secured in place using the provided locking thread. The product lifespan gets lowered significantly with axial loading. This device has a high possibility of getting destroyed if the number of motor and resolver poles are set incorrectly in the servo amplifier being used. This unit associated wiring diagram is available in the installation and setup instructions manual of the servo amplifier and has to be followed accurately. Its control and power cables have to be kept as far as possible from each other for enhanced immunity to electromagnetic interference. The servomotor must be used with a 3YL motor choke that is connected close to the servo amplifier if the motor cable length exceeds 25 meters.
