Product Description
The Kollmorgen AKM63K-ANC2R-00 is a synchronous servomotor in the AKM series. When combined with a digital servo amplifier from the same manufacturer, it is especially suited for positioning tasks in industrial robots, machine tools, and transfer lines with high requirements for dynamics and stability. The servomotor has permanent magnets in its rotor. The rare earth neodymium-iron-boron magnetic material is a crucial factor in making it possible to drive the motor in a highly dynamic fashion. A three-phase winding driven by the servo amplifier is integrated into the stator. The unit does not have any brushes because commutation is performed electronically by the servo amplifier used.
A spring applied brake of 24V DC is integrated into the AKM servomotor. When the brake is de-energized, it blocks the rotor. The holding brake is a standstill brake and is not suited for repeated operational braking. If the brake is released, the rotor can be moved without a remanent torque. The length of the motor increases when the brake is mounted. The unit has a flange size of 138 mm and a rotor length of 3. It has a K winding type. The device features a smooth shaft and rotatable angular connectors. The motor is equipped with an in-built Resolver feedback unit.
The AKM servomotor is precision equipment. The flange and shaft are vulnerable at the time of storage and assembly, so brute force should be avoided. Precision requires delicacy. The locking thread should be used to tighten up couplings, gear wheels or pulley wheels and warm up the drive components, wherever possible. Blows or the use of force will cause damage to the ball bearings and the shaft of the device. The number of motor poles and resolver poles should be noted, and care should be taken that the correct setting is made in the servo amplifier used. An incorrect setting can destroy the motor.
