The AKM62P-ACCNR-01 servomotor manufactured by Kollmorgen is easy to commission and use with plug-and-play motor recognition. The motor is equipped with a keyway shaft and a shaft seal for improved environmental protection. The device is designed to be driven by servo amplifiers from Kollmorgen under speed and/or torque control. The servomotor comes with a flange size of 138 mm and its rotor length is 2. The unit features P winding type. The ambient temperature in which the product must be operated is 0°C to 40°C. The motor has temperature sensors in the stator windings for monitoring the temperature of the winding. The AKM servomotor is equipped with a resolver as its standard feedback element. The servo amplifier in the motor evaluates the resolver position and supplies sinusoidal currents to the servomotor. Caution should be exercised when touching the motor. The motor surface can often exceed a temperature of 100°C. Before touching the motor, it is important to measure the surface temperature and wait until it has dropped down below 40°C. The device has rotatable angular connectors to enable power supply and feedback signals. The axial load permitted at the shaft end of the motor is 280 N and the radial load permitted at its shaft end is 770 N at 3000 per minute. Only personnel who are qualified and trained in electrical engineering should handle the wiring of the servomotor. The device should be de-energized at the time of assembly and wiring. The switch cabinet must also remain switched off. The power supply must be turned on only during startup of the servomotor. The motor should be wired up with the help of the wiring diagrams in the servo amplifier’s Installation and Setup Instructions manual.
