Product Description
The AKM54K-ANCNDB00 is a synchronous servomotor from the house of Kollmorgen. The motor should be operated only under the ambient conditions defined in the product documentation. The device is designed exclusively for drives with high requirements for dynamics and stability. The servomotor is installed as a component in machines or electrical apparatus and can only be commissioned and operated as an integral element of such machines or apparatus. There is a thermal sensor integrated into the motor windings, which should be observed and evaluated. The AKM servomotor does not have an in-built brake.
The motor is coated in matt black with a polyester powder coating. The finish is non-resistant against solvents like nitro-thinners and trichlorethylene. The device is equipped with an electrically isolated PTC (rated temperature 155°C with a tolerance of +/- 5%). It should be noted that the PTC doesn’t offer any protection against short, heavy overloading. When the motor is being mounted and operated, care should be taken to protect the unit from mechanical effects which can result in cracks or scratches on its painted surface. Mishandling escalates the risk of corrosion.
The site of installation should be free of aggressive and conductive material. In the case of IM V3 mounting, one must ensure that no liquids enter the bearings of the device. If there is a need for an encapsulated assembly, it is important to consult Kollmorgen well in advance. Care should be taken to ensure unhindered ventilation of the servomotor. The permissible ambient and flange temperatures should be maintained. For ambient temperatures more than 40°C, the manufacturer’s applications department must be consulted beforehand. Adequate heat transfer in the motor flange and the surroundings should be ensured. During the processes of wiring and assembly, one should ensure that the motor is de-energized.
