The AKM54K-ANC2R-00 is a powerful, versatile, synchronous servomotor manufactured by Kollmorgen. It is intended for industrial purposes. The motor is exceptionally low cogging and features low harmonic distortion to facilitate smooth performance. The AKM servomotor is operated in drive systems along with servo drives from the same manufacturer. The qualified personnel who transport, install, assemble, commission and operate the motor should know and observe IEC 60364 / IEC 60664 and national accident prevention regulations. The AKM servomotor has a peak current of 29.2 A and a peak torque of 38.4 Nm with a tolerance of +/- 10%. The standard weight of the product is 9 kg. The flange size of the device is 108 mm and it features K winding type. The motor’s rotor length is 4. The unit is equipped with a resolver feedback device. The motor comes with an in-built 24V holding brake. However, it should be noted that the brake doesn’t ensure functional safety. To ensure the safety of the personnel involved, hanging loads along the vertical axes need an additional, external mechanical brake. The holding brake is designed as a standstill brake and isn’t suited for repeated operational braking. The servomotor should not be directly connected to the mains supply network. It is prohibited in areas with a risk of explosions and sites with caustic and electrically conducting bases, acids, vapors, oils, and dust. Care should be taken that the device doesn’t come in contact with food and beverage. The maintenance and cleaning of the motor must be done only by qualified personnel. The ball bearings must be replaced once every 20,000 operating hours under rated conditions. If the user opens the motor for cleaning or other purposes, the warranty is invalidated.
