Product Description
The AKM52K-ACC2R-00 is a high-performing brushless DC servomotor manufactured by Kollmorgen. Combined with Kollmorgen’s digital servo amplifier, the motor is used largely for positioning tasks in equipment with high requirements for stability and dynamics. The product has permanent magnets in the rotor. The rotor length of the device is 2 and it features the K winding type. The motor has a 24 V holding brake. The product falls under the climate category of 3K3. The power derating of the device (currents and torques) is 1% / K in the range of 40°C to 50°C and up to 1000m above mean sea level.
The standard weight of the AKM servomotor is 5.8 kg. The rotor moment of inertia of the motor is 6.2 J. Its static friction torque is 0.04 Nm. The standstill torque of the device is 8.60 Nm, and the standstill current is 9.3 A. The max BUS of the servomotor is 640 VDC. The ball bearings of the device come with a grease packing that is sufficient for 20,000 hours of operation under normal conditions. However, the bearings must be replaced after 20,000 hours of operation under rated conditions. Every 2500 operating hours, the motor should be checked for bearing noise. If there are any noises, the operation of the motor should come to a halt and the bearings should be replaced.
When under operation, the surface of the servomotor can be very hot. It can exceed 100°C. So, before touching the motor, one should measure the temperature and wait until it has cooled down below 40°C. If there is any fitted key, it should be removed from the shaft before allowing the servomotor to run independently to avoid the dangerous consequences of the key being expelled by centrifugal force.
