Kollmorgen brushless synchronous servo motors have revolutionized the running of applications on the industrial floor. Synchronous servo motors are pocket friendly and have higher efficiencies even at low speeds. Kollmorgen servo motors in the AKM series are DC-powered and specially designed to be interfaced with demanding servo applications. Kollmorgen AKM servo motors are designed to be used with Kollmorgen digital amplifiers. A combination of these digital amplifiers with AKM brushless servo motors allows the motors to be used for positioning tasks in transfer lines, industrial robots, and machine tools. Kollmorgen AKM motors feature permanent magnets made from rare earth neodymium-iron-boron magnetic material. These magnets enable the motors to be driven in a highly dynamic fashion.
The AKM52H-BKCNAA-01 is a Kollmorgen AKM brushless servo motor. It has a shaft seal making it ideal for use in industrial environments with high levels of dust and liquids. Apart from allowing it to be used in relatively polluted environments, the presence of a shaft seal prepares the motor for mounting with the shaft facing upwards. The AKM52H-BKCNAA-01 features a BiSS single turn feedback device, has an open keyway shaft and a NEMA rated flange. Being a precision equipment, the motor should be handled with care during mounting and storage.
For optimal performance, the AKM52H-BKCNAA-01 is designed to be operated in an industrial environment with an ambient temperature of between 5 degrees Celsius and 40 degrees Celsius at an altitude not exceeding 1000 meters above sea level. Where the operating altitude exceeds 1000 meters, the motor’s power derates by between 6 percent and 55 percent at an altitude of between 2000 meters and 5000 meters. The AKM52H-BKCNAA-01 is ideal for use with applications with dynamic requirements.
