Product Description
Kollmorgen’s AKM brushless servo motors are built with the industrial environment in mind. From having unprecedented flexibility to having a high motor power density, AKM motors are a crucial part of an industrial servo system. Where standard AKM series motors do not offer the required flexibility, Kollmorgen allows them to be co-engineered to introduce application-specific modifications. When coupled with a Kollmorgen AKD servo drive, these motors make up an affordable custom servo system. The AKM synchronous servo motors are designed to offer a high performance and a wide range of mounting, feedback, and connectivity options.
The AKM51E-ANC2C-00 is a Kollmorgen brushless servo motor in the AKM series. To maintain the operating integrity of the motor even when not in use, Kollmorgen recommends that the motor be stored in an environment with an ambient temperature not exceeding 55 degrees Celsius and not below -25 degrees Celsius. To lower maintenance costs, the motor is supplied with ball bearings that are lubricated to operate smoothly for 20,000 operating hours. Note that the ball bearings should be inspected after every 2500 operating hours to check for any bearing noise.
Opening the motor invalidates the one-year warranty provided. It’s recommended to take the motor to the manufacturer for the replacement of ball bearings, and other task that may necessitate opening the motor. The AKM51E-ANC2C-00 is perfectly designed to be interfaced with applications requiring a maximum mechanical speed of 6000 revolutions per minute and a standard speed of 3000 revolutions per minute at a voltage of 640 Volts DC. When the motor’s windings are subjected to a temperature of 100 degrees Celsius, the AKM51E-ANC2C-00 has a continuous stall current rating of 2.75 ARMS.
