Product Description
Servomotors are different from ordinary DC motors because they offer precise control over acceleration, velocity, and position. These specially-crafted motors are used in a wide range of applications, such as robotics, automated machines, and CNC machines. Kollmorgen is a reputable name when it comes to producing state-of-the-art synchronous motors. The company has launched several different series, one of which, is the AKM series. This series stands out because of the high-efficiency which the servo motors provide. These brushless servos have the ability to produce high-density power despite their lightweight and low voltage consumption. The AKM series by Kollmorgen showcases seven different categories with each exhibiting a specific flange size and standstill torque.
The AKM43E-EKCNR-01 brushless synchronous motor belongs to the AKM4 family, featuring a flange size of 84 mm and a standstill torque up to 6 Nm. This servo motor model features a three-stack rotor that consists of a neodymium-iron-boron magnet. The rare-earth magnet generates a high amount of energy at a relatively low voltage. Kollmorgen offers three voltage variants of this model, including 230V, 400V and 480V variants. The 230V variant has a rated speed and rated power of 1500 RPM and 670 watts, respectively. The 480V variant offers a rated speed of 3000 RPM and its rated power is 1.18 kW. Overall, this brushless servo motor features a standstill torque of 4.70 Nm while its maximum torque, at 7500 RPM, is 15.90 Nm. To ensure protection of the internal motor components, the servomotor features F-class insulation material that can withstand up to 155 degrees Celsius.
The AKM43E-EKCNR-01 synchronous motor features a powerful shaft with a seal. This ensures maximum voltage conversion and minimum power loss. The servomotor also has a built-in resolver as the only feedback option available.
