Product Description
Servomotors are meant to deliver precise control of angular position, velocity, and acceleration. This is why industries around the world use them in CNC machines, robotics applications, and automated machinery. Kollmorgen is an engineering company known for producing high-efficiency motors, like those found in the AKM series. This series features lightweight brushless servos that promise to deliver high power on a relatively low voltage. This high-density power comes from a rotor that features rare-earth magnet material. Moreover, the motor components are well-protected inside a IP65 housing. These brushless servomotors meet international standards. Their brushless design lowers the amount of necessary maintenance on the motors.
The AKM43E-BKC2R-00 synchronous motor by Kollmorgen features a flange size of 84mm. The mounting of the flange conforms to NEMA standards. The servomotor offers a three-stack rotor that features a high-function rare-earth magnet. It’s a neodymium-iron-boron material that produces high energy on a low supply voltage. This particular feature enabled the makers to come up with multiple input-voltage variants. The 480V variant produces up to 1.18 kW, has a rated speed of 3000 RPM, and a rated torque of 3.76 Nm. This servomotor can reach as high as 7500 RPM with a peak torque of 15.9 Nm.
Furthermore, the AKM43E-BKC2R-00 features a shaft with an open keyway. Fully rotatable angular connectors can be found on top of the motor for both the power connection and feedback connection. The 4+4 pole angular connector is meant for power supply. The 12-pole angular connector is meant for the built-in resolver. This servomotor features a 24Vdc electrically-released holding brake that applies a holding torque of 6 Nm. The powerful F-class winding can withstand up to 155 degrees Celsius and ensures consistent and smooth operation.
