The AKM43E-ACCNR-00 synchronous servomotor offered by Kollmorgen is a DC three-phase motor without any brushes. This product must always be connected to a digital servo amplifier. The unit is not recommended to be fitted with a rigid coupling encompassing additional external bearings as this can result in a mechanically constrained motor shaft mounting. It should be taken care to prevent liquid entry into the upper bearing with IM V3 mounting. This motor destruction may happen if the servo amplifier is set with the wrong number of motor poles and resolver poles. The product is meant to be operated only under its ambient conditions for rated performance. This device has a three-phase winding in its stator and permanent magnets in its rotor. The unit in combination with the servo amplifier is especially suited for positioning tasks where high dynamics and high stability are of prime concern. Its servo amplifier evaluates the position of the resolver and supplies the motor with its sinusoidal current. This servomotor has a RAL 9005 finish that is not resistant to solvents. The product has 6% derated current and torque at 40 °C operating temperature and an installation altitude of 1000 m to 2000 m above sea level. This device depicts a 10% increase in radial force when there is a power take-off from the center of the free end of its shaft. The unit has zero backlash if it is fitted with double-coned collets combined with metal bellows couplings. Its length is not affected by the resolver feedback system. This motor associated control and power cables must be separated from each other by at least 20 cm to enhance the immunity to electromagnetic interference.
