The AKM42J-GCC2R-01 synchronous servomotor from Kollmorgen has a J type winding. This motor is one of the several such offerings in the AKM series. The product incorporates a resolver as the feedback element. This device has an IP 67 protection rating for the shaft area because of the radial shaft seal. The unit encounters axial forces when wheels or pinions are assembled onto the axis. Its shaft seal must not be allowed to operate in dry running mode.
