The AKM42E-EKMNR-00 synchronous servomotor should be used with a SERVOSTAR digital servo amplifier by the same manufacturer. The setup and assembly of this product must be done only by professionals after reading and understanding all of the related documents. The device should be handled with extreme caution. It can cause material damage or severe injury or even death if its connectors are unplugged when it is live. Without a proper low-resistance earth connection, the unit does not render any electrical safety. The three-phase winding of the motor is driven by the connected servo amplifier. The standard weight of the unit is 3.39 kg. The motor features a PTC that is electrically isolated. The PTC does not provide any protection against short, heavy overloading. If the preassembled resolve cable is used, the PTC is integrated into the monitoring system of the servo amplifier. The user must avoid axial loads on the motor shaft as much as possible. This is mainly because axial loading shortens the life of the motor. The device’s static friction torque is 0.026 Nm. The permissible radial load at the shaft end at 3000 per minute is 450 N and the permissible axial load at the shaft end at 3000 per minute is 180 N. When operating the servomotor and disconnecting it from the power connections, precaution should be exercised. It should be noted that the power connections could be live even when the unit is not rotating. So, when the motor is energized, its power connections must never be disconnected. When one tries to disconnect the power connections when the motor is energized, it could lead to flashovers leading to injuries to persons and damage to the contacts.
