Product Description
Kollmorgen's AKM42E-EKC2DB-00 synchronous servomotor works in conjunction with a SERVOSTAR digital servoamplifier from the same manufacturer. The disconnection of connectors when the servomotor is in operation can cause extensive material damage or severe injury. The motor has a matt black enamel on its housing that is not resistant to nitro-thinners, trichloroethylene and like solvents. The setup of the servoamplifier must be done taking into consideration the number of resolver poles and motor poles. The motor is an apt choice for torque or speed control applications or both.
The servomotor features permanent magnets in its rotor. The product is ideal for positioning tasks in transfer lines, machine tools and industrial robots. The motor has an IM B5 horizontal mounting style. It experiences a power derating of 1% / K between temperatures of 40°C and 50°C. The device requires an anti-surge device and additional open contact inside the braking circuit for the safe operation of the holding brake. The cylindrical shaft end is used for power transmission to the unit. The synchronous device comes integrated with angular connectors. The cables for connection must conform to EN 60204 standards.
The three-phase servomotor forms a torque or speed control loop in unison with the servoamplifier. The standard motor comes equipped with an open keyway shaft. The nameplate fitted on the unit gives information regarding the standstill current, protection class, winding resistance, rated power and mains voltage. The device has a winding resistance of 7.22 Ohms and a winding inductance of 26.8mH. It has a static friction torque of 0.026Nm and a thermal time constant of 17 minutes. The unit also has a speed rating of 4,000min-1 at 480V. The servomotor can be sent to the address of your choice.
