Product Description
The AKM42E-ANCNC-N0 servomotor from the house of Kollmorgen is a synchronous motor intended for demanding servo applications. A crucial factor that drives the motor in a highly dynamic fashion is its rare earth neodymium -iron-boron magnetic material. A three-phase winding by the servo amplifier is integrated into the stator. The servomotor doesn’t come with any brushes because commutation is done electronically by the servo amplifier. Temperature sensors in the stator winding monitor the temperature of the winding and it is signaled through an electrically isolated thermistor.
The AKM servomotor is intended to be driven by servo amplifiers from the SERVOSTAR series under speed and/or torque control. Its standstill torque is 3.42 Nm and its standstill current is 2.74 A. The maximum mains voltage of the unit is 480. The drive’s rotor moment of inertia is 1.5 kgcm². The ball bearings of the drive come with a grease packing adequate for 20,000 hours of operation under normal conditions. After 20,000 hours of operation, the bearings must be replaced under rated conditions.
The device should be cleaned and maintained only by qualified personnel. Special care should be taken during handling and transporting the unit. The components should not bend and insulation clearances must remain unaltered. The site where the drive is stored and placed should be free of aggressive and conductive material. In the case of V3-mounting (shaft end upwards), care should be taken that liquid doesn’t enter the bearings. If there is a need for an encapsulated assembly, the applications department of the manufacturer should be consulted beforehand. One should ensure that the motor is de-energized at the time of wiring and assembly.
