Kollmorgen is known for producing high-definition servo motors. Their AKM series is quite popular because of a wide variety of models. The series offers seven flange sizes, each with different combinations of stacks. These brushless synchronous motors by Kollmorgen feature industry-leading power, and speed, and comply with EC directives in terms of low voltage, design, coxiality, and vibration.
The AKM32C-ACC2R-01 servomotor represents the AKM3 sub-group. This sub-group offers a standstill torque in the range of 1.15 - 2.88 Nm. The AKM32C-ACC2R-01 synchronous motor has a 70-mm flange that conforms to the IEC standard. The 2-stack rotor, featuring a neodymium-iron-boron magnet, promises to deliver highly dynamic operations. Because of the 2-stack rotor, the DC synchronous motor has a weight of 2.23 kg. The servomotor features a standstill torque of 2.10 Nm, while its maximum torque is 6.92 Nm. The AKM32C-ACC2R-01 synchronous motor is available in 230V, 400V and 480V variants. The 480V variant offers a rated speed of 3500 RPM while its rated power is 0.67 kW.
Kollmorgen’s AKM32C-ACC2R-01 DC servo features a shaft with a keyway and a seal. This ensures smooth flow of power and torque, without any losses. The powerful winding ensures top speed of 5000 RPM and can withstand high temperature, in excess of 130 degrees Celsius. The DC servo by Kollmorgen features a 4 pole angular connector to connect the power supply. Then, there is a 12-pole rotatable connector to accommodate a feedback resolver. The high torque servo motor is also equipped with a 0.35-kg electrically released holding brake that requires a voltage of 24 volts and delivers a holding torque of 2.5 Nm.
