The motors’ windings have their thermal windings rated conservatively at 100 degrees Celsius rise over 40 degrees Celsius surrounding temperature. For specialized applications, Kollmorgen manufactures motors with custom windings to meet specific application requirements.
The Kollmorgen AKM24F-ENMNDB-00 is a brushless servo motor in the AKM series of motors. Motors in this series are designed to accommodate a wide range of industrial applications by having varying frame lengths, voltage, speed, feedback, among other options. The AKM24F-ENMNDB-00 features a flange measuring 58 millimeters. Since the motor’s performance is affected by high heat levels inside its frame, Kollmorgen designs the AKM24F-ENMNDB-00 with a frame optimized for heat dissipation which translates to a higher performance in a small package. For a complete automated drive system, the AKM24F-ENMNDB-00 is meant to be used with Kollmorgen AKD servo drives allowing the motor to reach optimal performance.
The AKM24F-ENMNDB-00 has a stall continuous torque rating of 1.41 N-m, a stall peak torque rating of 4.82 N-m, and a rated speed of 3000 revolutions per minute with the possibility of reaching a maximum speed of 4720 revolutions per minute when operated with an input voltage of 120 Volts AC. Note that the AKM24F-ENMNDB-00’s rated and maximum speed varies depending on the input voltage. The motor is ideal for use in printing, packaging and converting, robotics, and other similar industrial applications.
