Kollmorgen synchronous motors have revolutionized motion systems on the industrial floor. These motors have speeds of up to 8000 revolutions per minute making them ideal for use with high speed applications. Kollmorgen AKM series features motors specially designed for either high speed or low speed industrial applications. To prepare the motors for the global scene, AKM series motors are designed to accommodate standard global voltages by employing windings tailored to 480, 400, 240, and 120 Volts AC, and 75 Volts DC. AKM synchronous servo motors are capable of delivering a smooth performance due to their low-cog, low-harmonic distortion magnetic design.
The AKM24F-CKBNR-00 is a synchronous servo motor designed and manufactured by Kollmorgen. It operates with a DC bus link voltage of 320 Volts DC and is designed to be mounted in an industrial environment with a surrounding temperature not exceeding 40 degrees Celsius. When not in use, the AKM24F-CKBNR-00 is manufactured to be stored in an environment with an ambient temperature of between 25 degrees Celsius and 55 degrees Celsius and a relative humidity ranging from a minimum of 5 percent to a maximum of 95 percent without condensation. To reduce maintenance and increase its online time, the motor is manufactured with ball bearings greased to maintain optimal performance for up to 20000 hours.
To facilitate efficient mechanical power transmission, the Kollmorgen AKM24F-CKBNR-00 features an open keyway shaft. The motor is supplied with standard customizations and without a holding brake. To enable the AKM24F-CKBNR-00 to handle the harsh industrial environment, it uses a resolver for feedback. Note that a resolver has a high stability when used in environments with electrical disturbances and relatively higher vibrations and or shocks. Connections to the motor are made via rotatable angular connectors.
