Product Description
Kollmorgen brushless servo motors offer unprecedented flexibility enabling them to be interfaced with a wide range of industrial applications. To ease selection and setup of a motion control system on the industrial floor, these motors are designed to seamlessly integrate with Kollmorgen servo drives. The drives save on costs since they are highly flexible allowing them to be interfaced with a wide array of servo motors. Kollmorgen manufactures various types of servo motors designed with a target environment in mind. For example, Kollmorgen offers servo motors specially designed for hazardous environments, washdown environments, food and beverage environment, among other environments.
The AKM24C-EFBNR-01 is a brushless DC servo motor in the Kollmorgen AKM series. It has a standstill torque and current rating of 1.38 N-m and 1.42 Amperes respectively. The AKM24C-EFBNR-01 has a shaft seal allowing the motor to be used in liquid-prone environments, the shaft to handle huge weights, and increases the motor’s service life. By having a brushless design, the motor has improved efficiency, an increased torque per Watt rating, and minimized maintenance costs.
The Kollmorgen AKM24C-EFBNR-01 features permanent magnets made from rare earth materials such as neodymium-iron-boron allowing it to be driven in an exceptionally dynamic fashion. The motor has a permissible operating temperature ranging from 5 to 40 degrees Celsius, a maximum permissible non-condensing relative humidity of 95 percent, and a permissible maximum operating altitude of 1000 meters. To allow the motor to adapt into a wide range of industrial settings, it supports mounting with the shaft facing either downwards, sideways or upwards. With an operating lifespan of 20,000 operating hours, the AKM24C-EFBNR-01 saves on costs incurred when the bearings are frequently replaced.
