Product Description
Synchronous servo motors are a good choice for applications requiring a constant speed regardless of the load. With a wider air gap, these motors are mechanically stable compared to asynchronous servo motors. Kollmorgen synchronous motors have a high efficiency of up to 90 percent even when operated at low speeds. Kollmorgen’s AKM series of servo motors is specially designed to be interfaced with drives for industrial robots, textile, machine tools, packaging machinery, among others. However, in order for the AKM series motors to reach peak performance, they have to be used with the Kollmorgen ServoStar amplifier.
The AKM23F-BNMNR-00 is a synchronous servo motor designed and manufactured by Kollmorgen. The motor belongs to the Kollmorgen AKM series. Motors in this series are designed to be installed as part of a machine or an electrical apparatus allowing them to be precisely controlled according to application needs. To lower maintenance costs, synchronous servo motors in the AKM series employ a brushless design. Apart from having a brushless design, the motors feature permanent magnets in the rotor allowing them to be used in a highly dynamic fashion. Since temperature inside the AKM23F-BNMNR-00’s frame is a crucial factor when it comes to performance, the motor features a temperature sensor inside the stator windings.
The Kollmorgen AKM23F-BNMNR-00 features a resolver for feedback allowing it to be used in environments experiencing electrical disturbances due to its stability. The AKM23F-BNMNR-00 has a maximum bus voltage rating of 320 Volts DC and a maximum stall torque (continuous) rating of 1.18 N-m when the winding temperature is at 100 degrees Celsius. The AKM23F-BNMNR-00 can reach a maximum mechanical speed of 8000 revolutions per minute and supports a peak nominal current of 17.2 ARMS.
