The AKM23F-ANM22-00 synchronous servomotor by Kollmorgen must have an earthing connection for its mounting plate and motor housing. This motor has a locked rotor if its holding brake is applied. The product has an increased length because of the feedback system and holding brake. This device has to be protected from unacceptable stresses. The unit is a precision equipment. Its flange and shaft must be safeguarded against brute force during storage and assembly. This motor should feature a correct alignment of its couplings to avoid damage to its bearings. The product has live electrical connections in the energized state. This device may cause burns if its housing surface is touched during the operation phase. The unit related wiring must be done according to the wiring diagram given in the product manual of the servo amplifier. Its shields must be connected to shielding terminals or EMC connectors at both ends. This motor uses a cable with a bending radius of 100 mm for its comcoder. The product assembly and orientation must be checked at the time of setup. This device has a surface temperature of more than 100 ?C during operation.
