The AKM23D-EFB22-00 is a brushless servo motor that utilizes the rare earth neodymium iron boron magnetic material. This magnetic material helps the motor to deliver impressive results in highly dynamic environmnets. This DC servomotor comes with an inbuilt resolver that is used as the standard feedback element. The motor uses Comcoder with 2048 PPR for the closed-loop feedback. The SERVOSTAR servo amplifiers evaluate the position of the resolver and then send an appropriate signal to the motor. The motor can operate in an extended temperature range. Optimum performance can be extracted within a range of 5 ᵒC to 45 ᵒC. The AKM23D-EFB22-00 has an enhanced service life due to the use of a brushless design. The bearings used in this motor have a mechanical service life of at least 20,000 hours.  An 1.16 Nm torque can be applied to the shaft when the motor is running in standstill mode.

At U_N = 115 V, the motor’s rated torque, rated speed, and rated power are 1.12 Nm, 1500 rpm and, 0.18 kW respectively. At U_N = 400 V, these values change to 0.92 Nm, 8000 rpm, and 0.77 kW respectively. The motor is quite light weight and has a 1.12 kg mass.
