Product Description
Kollmorgen AKM series of synchronous servo motors have been deployed in the industrial floor to provide stability and efficiency of industrial applications. These motors are powered by either an alternate or direct current and do not utilize brushes for commutation since communication is a function of Kollmorgen’s servo amplifiers. Synchronous servo motors are mainly meant to be used in high-precision applications. The AKM series houses motors with different frame sizes and standard windings that support lower speeds. Mounting standards for these motors are designed according to Japanese, European, and North American standards. Note that these mounting standards can be applied in a wide range of industrial environments in the world.
The AKM22G-ENBN2-00 is a brushless servo motor designed and manufactured by Kollmorgen and falls in the Kollmorgen AKM series of servo motors. Motors in this series have a temperature sensor in their stator windings. The temperature of the windings is signaled using an electrically isolated thermistor. The AKM22G-ENBN2-00 is designed to reach optimal performance when operated with the Kollmorgen servo amplifier that is incorporated in the motor’s stator to help drive the winding. For easy connections, the motor features angular connectors.
The Kollmorgen AKM22G-ENBN2-00 features a smooth shaft to allow for a smooth interfacing with the intended applications. When mounting, the motor is designed to basically be mounted when the shaft is facing a horizontal direction. However, the motor can be mounted with the shaft facing either downwards or upwards. The AKM22G-ENBN2-00 has a standstill torque and current rating of 0.88 N-m and 4.82 Amperes respectively, a rated speed of 7000 revolutions per minute, a rated power of 0.54 kilowatts, and a rated torque (when in operation) of 0.74 N-m when operated with 115 Volts input voltage.
