To achieve high precision and efficiency on the industrial floor, servo motors are used with a host of industrial applications including those with high external inertias. Kollmorgen synchronous servomotors are flexible and can be co-engineered to perfectly fit into the required application. The Kollmorgen AKM series of synchronous servomotors, operate on a low voltage and are recognized by Underwriters Laboratories preparing the motor for use in the global industrial scene. Motors in the AKM series stall torque ratings range from 0.18 N-m to 1.25 N-m and can reach speeds of 4500 revolutions per minute.
The AKM22G-EFBN2-00 is a Kollmorgen synchronous servo motor with a transport temperature rating of between -25 degrees Celsius and +70 degrees Celsius. The motor has a brushless design allowing it to be used with demanding servo applications. When controlled using Kollmorgen digital servo amplifiers, the AKM22G-EFBN2-00 can be used in transfer lines, industrial robots, machine tools, and other applications requiring high stability. The AKM22G-EFBN2-00 belongs to the AKM series of servo motors. Motors in this series feature permanent magnets in the rotor and incorporate thermal sensors in the stator windings to help monitor the temperature inside the motor’s frame. Note that operating at the required temperature enables the motor to reach optimal performance.
The Kollmorgen AKM22G-EFBN2-00 uses a resolver for positioning. Environmental conditions that have to be met for the motor to reach optimal performance include, but not limited to, a non-condensing relative humidity not exceeding 95 percent and a surrounding temperature ranging between a minimum of 5 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 40 degrees Celsius. AKM series motors have a ball-bearing life greater than or equal to 20000 operating hours.
