Product Description
The AKM21G-ENBN2-00 is a synchronous servomotor manufactured by Kollmorgen. It is a member of the AKM series. It has a standstill toque of 0.50 Nm and a standstill current of 4.87A. The standstill torque is designed in a way that allows the rotor reactance and resistance equal in order to attain its maximum value. When 75V DC of power is supplied to AKM21G-ENBN2-00, it produces a rated speed of 4000 rpm, rated torque of 0.46 Nm and a rated power of 0.19 kW. The increased rated power and rated speed of this AKM series gives it the capacity to drive large industrial and textile machineries with ease.
The AKM21G-ENBN2-00 is properly insulated with PETP (Polyesteraphtalate) and a sheathing material which is made up of PUR (Polyurethane). The essence of the insulation is to ensure that the external temperature of the servomotor does not exceed a permissible level of 40oC and a winding temperature of 100K. It has an encoder connection which contain 17 round poles mounted on cables with diameter of 0.5m. The main function of the encoder on the AKM21G-ENBN2-00 is to act as the servomechanism that controls the feedback sensors. Its encoder cable has a dimension of (7 x 2 x 0.25) mm2 shielded on all sides. It operates at a maximum main voltage of 480 VAC which gives it more space to accommodate 3 or more phases of electric supplies.
The shaft of AKM21G-ENBN2-00 can only permit an axial and radial loads of 60N and 145N respectively. The value if its rotor moment of inertia is 0.11J and a thermal time constant of 8 mins. The rotor moment of inertial plays a vital role in its rotational kinetics.
