Product Description
The AKM21C-ENGN2-01 is an AKM Series motor manufactured by Kollmorgen. It is a servo motor with a standstill torque of 0.48Nm. The standstill torque is a product of a joint reaction that occurs between the rotor field and the main rotating field. The speed of the standstill torque is kept constantly at n>100 rpm. It also maintain a standstill current of 1.58A which determines the maximum speed needed to drive the motor. The AKM21C-ENGN2-01 has the capacity to drive large industrial and textile machineries due to its rated power of 0.12kW and its rated speed of 8000 rpm.
The AKM21C-ENGN2-01 has a winding resistance of 13.0Ω and a winding inductance of 19mH. The length of the copper wire present in the motor is responsible for the value of the winding resistance. It has a weight standard of 0.82Kg. This indicates that the AKM21C-ENGN2-01 is not heavy compared to other servo motors in the same series. The encoder connections of the AKM21C-ENGN2-01 are 17 round poles which are mounted on cables with diameter of 0.5m. The encoder connections are for a servomechanism that controls the feedback sensors. Its encoder cable has a dimension of (7 x 2 x 0.25) mm2 shielded on all sides. It operates at a maximum main voltage of 480 VAC which gives it more space to accommodate 3 or more phases of electric supplies.
The AKM21C-ENGN2-01 has a torque constant of 0.30Nm/A which dictates the quantity of the force required to rotate the servomotor about an axis at an r.m.s current of 1A. It is perfectly designed and packaged with durable cardboard material and some internal foam cushion to protect it from damages. Note, the holding brake must be tested regularly at 24V.
