Product Description
The AKM21C-CKB2AA-00 is a robust and versatile servomotor in the AKM series launched by Kollmorgen. The device is equipped with an open keyway shaft. The motor comes with plug-and-play motor recognition and full-frequency autotuning on AKD series servo drives. The unit should never be sprayed with or immersed in liquid for cleaning. The product has a matt black enamel finish. The servomotor features a brushless design and is a good choice for positioning tasks when combined with a digital servo amplifier.
A spring applied brake of 24V DC is integrated into the AKM servomotor. When the hold brake is de-energized, blocks the rotor. The holding brake is designed as a standstill brake and does not suit repeated operational braking. The holding brake can be directly controlled by a SERVOSTAR servo amplifier. If the brake is not directly controlled by the servo amplifier, additional wiring is needed. The motor has an Acuro (Biss) single-turn feedback unit incorporated into it. The unit has a rotor moment of inertia of 0.11 J. It has a total of 6 poles. The radial load permitted at the shaft end of the servomotor at 5000 per minute is 145 N. The holding torque of the brake of the device at 120?C is 1.42 Nm.
The housing of the AKM servomotor should be safely earthed to the protective earth busbar in the switch cabinet. It should be noted that without a low-resistance earth connection, electrical safety is not possible. Even when the servomotor is not rotating, power connections may be live. The power connections of the unit should never be disconnected when the equipment is being energized. The key should be removed from the shaft before allowing the device to run independently in order to avoid dangerous consequences of the key being expelled by centrifugal forces.
