The AKM12E-BNMN2-00 is an AKM brushless DC motor manufactured by Kollmorgen. The motor is designed to operate in conjunction with servo amplifiers. This makes it ideal for positioning tasks in applications such as robots, textile, and packaging machines. It comes with permanent magnets in the rotor which feature rare earth neodymium-iron-boron magnetic materials which make it possible to drive these motors in a highly dynamic way. Communication in this motor is through electrical means which mitigates the need for brushes.
