Product Description
AKM12C-ANCNC-00 is an AKM brushless DC motor that is manufactured by Kollmorgen Company. The motor is designed to work in conjunction with servo amplifiers making them ideal for positioning tasks in industrial robots, transfer lines, and machine tools, among others. The motor comes with permanent magnets which are located at the rotor. Also, the rare earth neodymium-iron-boron magnet materials allow the motor to be more dynamic. This motor is especially ideal for tasks that demand high requirements of dynamics. It features electrical communication owing to its servo amplifier hence does not have brushes.
While the basic style of the AKM12C-ANCNC-00 is shaft end A side (IM B5), there are other two main mounting positions, IM VI (shaft end downwards) and IM V3 (shaft end upwards). When IM V3 orientation is applied, the fluid at the end shaft should not be allowed to settle for long since it might penetrate and damage the motor. Before operating the motor, ensure that its housing is properly earthed to the protective earth busbar. After disconnecting the servo amplifier wait for at least five minutes for the capacitors to discharge. You should avoid axial load since it significantly reduces the lifespan of the motor.
The AKM12C-ANCNC-00 features a flange of size 40mm, a rotor length of 2, and an IEC flange. It also comes with a smooth shaft and 0.5m shielded cable with IP 65 connector, angular connectors and rotatable. There is also a smart feedback device. Its electrical data include a standstill torque of 0.31Nm, a standstill current of 1.51A, and a maximum mains voltage of 230VAC. Ambient conditions include an operating temperature range of 5 to 45 degrees and a permissible humidity of less than 95%.
