The AKM11C-AKCNR-00 is one of the several synchronous servomotors from Kollmorgen in the AKM series. The servomotor has a 40mm flange, a rotor length of 1 and C type winding. The connectors of the motor must not be unplugged during operation. The device must be used along with a SERVOSTAR digital servo amplifier from the manufacturer. The couplings, pulley wheels, or gear wheels must be tightened using the locking thread provided. The drive components must be warmed up where possible. The motor is intended for drives for machine tools, packing, textile machinery as well as industrial robots. The motor windings are integrated with thermal contact.

The temperature of the motor windings is monitored with the help of temperature sensors. The motor has a power derating of 1%/K in a temperature range of 40°C to 50°C. The ball bearings have an operating life of more than 20,000 hours. The device has a basic IM B5 style according to DIN42950 specifications. It encompasses an electrically isolated PTC. The thermostat is fitted inside the servo amplifier’s monitoring system. The switching point of the motor is at 155°C +/-5%. The standard motor has an open keyway shaft and a resolver for feedback.

The synchronous motor does not house a holding brake and has a 0.5m shielded cable with IP 65 connectors. The motor has a permissible radial load of 30N at the shaft end at 8,000min^-1 and a static friction torque of 0.0011Nm. It comprises a maximum mains voltage rating of 230VAC. The device makes use of 4 x 2 x 0.25mm² shielded resolver cables and a 4 x 1 shielded motor cable. The unit has a rated speed of 6,000min^-1 at 115V.
