Product Description
The AKD-P02406-NBAN-0000 digital servo feedback produced by Kollmorgen supports encoder emulation through its X9 connector that can be operated as either an input or an output. This product can be controlled through an A/B, CW/CCW or pulse and direction command by using the X9 connector as an input. The device can be set up with a non-plug and play feedback option like an encoder or a resolver by selecting a motor from the list of motors or entering the motor parameters manually. This unit uses a foldback feature to protect the connected motor and itself against overheating. Its foldback parameters are not configurable by the user.
The drive can control the 24 V holding brake of the motor. This product deploys two independent position captures that have similar styles of operation. The device needs to be configured to a controlled stop when a disable command is executed. This unit can be connected to a linear motor at its X2 connector by using red, white, black and yellow/green colored wires for the U, V, W and PE terminals respectively. It has the ability to measure motion in terms of velocity, position and acceleration. The drive uses its programmable digital inputs and outputs to initiate motion.
This product initiates the stored pre-programmed functions using its digital inputs. The device supports source or sink type wiring for its Enable digital input with a DCOM8 floating reference common line. This unit requires a mandatory wiring of its Hardware Enable input. Its Command Buffer input mode helps to change the parameters of the drive with a digital input. The servo drive associated control loops are assigned the current or velocity command by the analog input when its command source is set to analog.
