The AKD-P01207-NBCN-0000 industrial Ethernet-based servo drive manufactured by Kollmorgen can be used only in a machine that complies with the appropriate national standards or directives. This product is not supposed to be used in corrosive agents. This device related MAC address is mentioned on a sticker on its housing. The unit is fitted with a warning note saying that it can be serviced only after five minutes of removing the power. It is configured using the Setup Wizard of the WorkBench software. This drive related initial setup involves installing it on a conductive panel and connecting it to the Protective Earth ground as the first step.
The product cannot communicate with the PC when it is disconnected from WorkBench. This device houses an LED display on its front panel at the top. The unit has a baud rate of 125 kBits/s when its rotary switches have a 91 setting. It is assigned a node address apart from the MAC address and IP address. This drive related CAN-Bus connection has to be done using a cable with a ground connection and two terminators.
The product gets connected with a PC only if the PC network configuration is able to identify its IP address. This device has no SD card slot. The unit cannot be changed from online status to offline or the other way around using the WorkBench software. It has a direct DC input that must be run into the AC input connection. This drive is connected with the associated motor at its X2 connector. The unit is capable of supporting a second feedback.
