Product Description

The AKD-M01207-MCEC-I000 Ethernet-based servo drive manufactured by Kollmorgen can be used with synchronous motors and linear motors. This product has no operation support on one-phase industrial power supply networks. The device can cause high frequency interference when it is used in residential areas. This unit has a very rapid digital current loop. It has a continuous output power of 4.2 kVA at 3 x 400 VAC supply voltage rating and rated current. The drive has the provision of including an external regen resistor based on the application requirement. This unit features a current loop bandwidth of 2 kHz to 3 kHz. Its X6 connector can be used for a string topology with a maximum of eight slaves and 250 ms cycle time. The servo drive setup is done using the KAS IDE software that contains the tools for configuring the EtherCAT network.

This product comes with a motion controller card featuring additional digital inputs and outputs. The device is a good choice for implementation in multiaxis synchronized drive systems. This unit has two push-buttons and one rotary switch to help with its operation. Its rotary switch is set to 0 for a DHCP IP and a value from 1 to 9 for a static IP. The drive related menu items can be highlighted on the LED display by pressing the B3 push-button. This product has an additional one-digit LED display to highlight the PDMM specific messages. The device displays the ‘IP’ address and ‘stop’ application menu items on its seven-segment display when the application is running. The unit may have live uncovered parts during operation. It has a hardware-operated advanced dynamic braking mode that slows down the servo system when applied.
