Product Description
Industrial motion control systems received an upgrade with the entry of Kollmorgen AKD drives. The biggest beneficiaries of this upgrade were synchronous servo motors. For protection, AKD drives are designed to be mounted and operated inside a control cabinet. With an operating temperature of between 0.0 degrees Celsius and 40.0 degrees Celsius, these drives can be mounted and operated in a wide range of industrial environments. To accommodate a wide array of external devices, drives in the AKD family feature analog, digital and or relay Input Output interfaces. Analog inputs and outputs have a 16-bit resolution allowing for enhanced communication between the drive and external devices.
The AKD-B00307-NAAN-0000 is a servo drive manufactured by Kollmorgen. The drive is approved by Underwriters Laboratories and conforms to United States standards and Canadian National standards preparing it for use on the international stage. The drive has standard USA customizations, an analog connectivity option, and an input voltage rating of either 240 Volts AC or 480 Volts AC supplied from a three phase power source. To reduce damage to devices and or personnel, the drive has an emergency off function that switches off the electrical power supply of the machine.
The Kollmorgen AKD-B00307-NAAN-0000 has a safe torque off (STO) feature that enables the implementation of a safety circuit. The drive has an extra digital input that when it reads open circuit, power to the connected motor is disconnected and the drive safely initiates coast to a stop. Note that while the STO function is meant to provide a safe stopping of the motion system, it should never be used when preparing the drive for cleaning, repair, and or maintenance.
