The AKD PDMM Programmable Drive family is suitable to be employed as a multi-axis master control. These systems are capable of controlling up to 64 axes of a given machine. Complete I/O and HMI interfaces are accessible through the full automation capabilities of Kollmorgen Automation Suite, which provides an appropriate development environment for AKD PDMM and PCMM-based machines.
The features of the AKD-M00607-MCEC-0000 include an embedded web server utility, the ability to control multiple axes while reducing the machine footprint, and the ability to program AKI human-machine interface panels through Kollmorgen Visualization Builder. This drive is considered to be “plug-and-play” compatible with servo motors and allows users to support real-time performance feedback from several sensors. It also has full-frequency autotuning to ensure perfect motion control. Selecting one of the AKD PDMM multi-axis master drives allows users to reduce panel space, wiring costs and design time, by eliminating the use of different controllers. Using the AKD drive hardware combined with the Kollmorgen Automation Suite tends to minimize risk and maximize performance. These programmable drives contain a 32 kB non-volatile memory to store machine data, avoiding errors upon restart or after a power failure. The included SD Card slot simplifies the backup process, eliminating the need for an external PC.
The AKD-M00607-MCEC-0000 drive version is motion control. Its continuous current rating is 6 Amps and its peak current is 18 Amps. The voltage rating of this device is 240 / 480 Vac (three-phase). The extension option of this drive is a 0.8 GHz motion card. The connectivity of this drive is made possible by an EtherCAT interface. The device customization is the Standard USA.
