Product Description
The Kollmorgen AKD PDMM subseries of drives in the wider Kollmorgen AKD family have reduced the panel space, wiring costs and build time by combining an AKD servo drive with a powerful motion controller in one compact package. Drives in the PDMM family are designed to control multiple high-performance servo axes. The AKD PDMM is ideal to be interfaced with Kollmorgen AKM motors, Kollmorgen CDDR motors, and other motors with direct-drive technologies. Note that AKD drives are powered by an AC voltage of between 120 Volts and 480 Volts supplied from either a single phase or a three-phase power source.
The Kollmorgen AKD-M00606-MCEC-0000 is an AKD drive in the PDMM subseries. The drive delivers industry leading features in a high-performing machine and supports co-engineering capabilities. Note that co-engineering helps introduce application-specific modifications reducing the time it takes to set-up and commission a reliable and effective motion control system. The AKD-M00606-MCEC-0000 has a peak current rating of 18 Amps and a continuous current rating of 6 Amps. By supporting an operating voltage of between 120 Volts AC and 240 Volts AC, the drive seamlessly fits into the existing industrial power supply network. This eliminates the need for specialized power supply equipment consequently lowering the set-up cost.
The Kollmorgen AKD-M00606-MCEC-0000 is supplied with standard USA customizations and a motion card with a processor speed rating of 800 Hertz. By featuring an EtherCAT connectivity option, the drive smoothly integrates with other devices on the EtherCAT network which is the widely used network in an industrial setting. An EtherCAT network is preferred because it offers precise motion control. The drive is programmed using the Kollmorgen Automation Suite using parameters that enhance flexibility.
