The AKT-AN-400-000 is a 4-channel thermocouple module produced by the company. The thermocouple module allows the direct integration of thermocouple sensors with the system. The complete temperature measurement range lies between -100 ᵒc TO 1370 ᵒC. Users can select a specific temperature range for measurement. The absence of a cold junction is compensated by the module through an internal temperature measurement system. The system comes with a 250 ms conversion time. Because of a resolution of 0.1 ᵒC, even a minute temperature change is detected. The device has a weight of 70 g and has dimensions of 15 mm x 100 mm x 70 mm (width x height x depth). The device should be stored in a -25 ᵒC to 85 ᵒC temperature range and its optimum operating temperature range lies between 0 ᵒC to 55 ᵒC.
The AKT-AN-400-000 has been designed such that it can be installed in any position. It comes with significant protection against electrostatic discharge and electromagnetic interference. Users can operate the thermocouple sensors using the Bus Terminal’s circuitry. For obtaining linear temperature readings over the system’s entire temperature range, a microprocessor is in-built in the module. The AKT-AN-400-000 uses the standard bus for power requirements. Many sensor types are supported by the system including the J, L, K, S, T, U, N, E, and B type sensors. The default settings are for the K-type thermocouple. The device gives a very accurate measurement with an error of just 0.5%. The system can be easily configured via a bus controller and bus coupler.
