Product Description
Kollmorgen’s innovative 60WKS series of servo amplifiers comprises an array of servo amplifiers designed for use with the Kollmorgen SM series of brushless and synchronous servo motors. These servo amplifiers can be integrated into the build of servo motors to enhance control and facilitate the delivery of smooth and consistent motion. The 60WKS-M240/22-PB is a model of these analog servo amplifiers with a compact and space-saving design. It features two differential setpoint inputs, one of which is adjustable.
The 60WKS-M240/22-PB utilizes a three-phase rated supply voltage between 60 – 172 Volts. Its nominal operation frequency for this voltage range is between 50 – 60 Hz (+/-10%). It is equipped with a ballast circuit and ballast resistor to maintain a steady current flow and energy transfer. The pulse and continuous power values of the ballast circuit are 5.4 kW and 135 Watts, respectively. Also, the peak current value of this servo amplifier at a standstill is 22 A, and its minimum motor inductance is 0.7 mH. It also uses a DC link voltage of 240 V.
The 60WKS-M240/22-PB uses a PI speed controller to control the corresponding motor speed and trapezoidal output current. Its user-friendly design is enhanced by adding a custom printed circuit board (PCB) in front of the servo amplifier. Various parameters can be adjusted from this board. Its motor connection terminals are protected from earth faults and short circuits. Also, its 15 V auxiliary voltage outputs are protected from short circuits. For optimal and long-lasting operation, the 60WKS-M240/22-PB should be operated in a closed steel switchgear cabinet at an ambient temperature, not more than 40° C. The relative humidity in the functional area should also be maintained between 5 % and 85 %.
