Product Description
The B2.SM.000-420 is an industrial servo motor belonging to the Dynamic Line Series from KEB Automation. The motor is designed to be used in combination with digital servo controllers in industrial systems. It has a very strong housing and can maintain optimum operation standards for a long time. The B2.SM.000-420 synchronous servo motor complies with the harmonized standards of the series VDE 0530/EN 60034. The use of this servo motor is unsuited for hazardous areas unless it is explicitly permitted by the manufacturer. During operation, the nominal speed of the output shaft integrated into this servo motor is about 4000 revolutions per minute; the shaft is equipped with a feather key, which aids the smooth transmission of kinetic energy in industrial applications. This motor does not require any external cooling mechanism; it is self-cooling and equipped with Flange B5.
The voltage requirements of the B2.SM.000-420 servo motor during operation is measured to be about 190 volts, and the motor is equipped with a plug rotatable angular flange socket that makes installation and wiring operations very easy for customers. The magnet present in this servo motor is made from Neodymium Iron boron; this material allows the motor to maintain low inertia even when it is being used at a high operation speed.
The B2.SM.000-420 contains radial ball bearings designed to reduce friction at the motor shaft. These ball bearings have a lifetime lubrication, and they contribute significantly to the efficiency of the product. The ambient temperature range is between -20 to about 40 degrees. There are built-in PTC thermistors integrated into the motor; the thermistor helps to protect the motor from temperature damage by detecting any risk of over temperature.
