14.F5.MDE-Y0P0 is a powerful industrial frequency inverter. It is a product of KEB, a German manufacturer of industrial equipment. The inverter’s main application is control of AC motors. It can work with AC or DC power supplies, and uses variable AC output to control motor parameters. The power chain has three components: an uncontrolled bridge rectifier, a DC link and a DC to AC inverter. With this setup, the inverter can produce AC output with variable frequency and amplitude. The output frequency can range from 0 Hertz to maximum 1600 Hertz. For AC input, the frequency range is 50/60 Hertz. Three-phase input is required for AC with voltages ranging from 305 to 500 Volts. The input current is 18.1 Amps when the input ranges from 305 to 440 Volts.
The input current is 15,4 Amps when the input ranges from 460 to 500 Volts. The output of the 14.F5.MDE-Y0P0 is also three-phase, and the current output is 16.5 Amps at 440 Volts AC and 14 Amps at 480 Volts AC. Power output of the 14.F5.MDE-Y0P0 inverter is 11 kVA. The motor connected to the inverter can have maximum rating of 7.5 kilowatts. Operators can connect 2/4 pole motors with shielded lines. The longest permitted motor line length is 100 meters. KEB has designed the unit for forced air cooling. It has an internal cooling fan that increases airflow across the operating inverter components. With an IP20 rating, the housing of the unit is suited to indoor use. Outdoor use is possible when the unit is mounted inside a cabinet. Mounting orientation of the inverter is vertical. EMC for the device complies with EN 61800-3.
